Jeff Davis teases part of Lydia’s storyline in Season 6 of Teen Wolf.

TVLINE | Fair enough. What about Stiles and Lydia? They clearly have lingering feelings, so can we hope for some progression in Season 6?
They’re not only lingering feelings — they become a focus, a focal point of the next season. Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you’ll have to tune in to see.

MTV’s “Teen Wolf” was the No. 1 rated show on social media across broadcast and cable, including sports, this Tuesday night.

With no other series topping “Teen Wolf’s” tweet volume for the entire day, the MTV teen hit led the pack ahead of social-savvy shows such as Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars” and FX’s O.J. Simpson drama “American Crime Story.”

On Tuesday, “Teen Wolf” drew 130.8K tweets which were read by three million unique Twitter followers, and the hashtag #TeenWolf was the No. 3 trending topic worldwide and the No. 2 trending topic in the U.S., according to Twitter and Nielson SocialGuide.

Additionally, the hashtag #AskHolland, referencing a Twitter chat with star Holland Roden was the No. 4 trending topic worldwide, and was mentioned over 75K times on Twitter. The Twitter frenzy was prompted by Tuesday’s night’s storyline, in which Lydia (Roden) was finally rescued by the group from the mental hospital she’s been trapped in for six weeks with fans waiting for her to escape and make it out alive.

Besides Twitter, “Teen Wolf” fared well across social platforms with Tumblr posts reaching almost 780K people; five Instagram posts bringing in over 554.2K likes; and four Facebook posts reaching over 3.6M fans with over 80.4K likes.

Despite the social success, the show hit a season low with Tuesday’s episode, but marginally. The first half of the fifth season premiered in June 2015 to 1.55 million viewers, and when the show returned with its back half in January, it saw an uptick from its most recent episodes with an audience of 1.15 million viewers. The Feb. 9 episode this week had 880,000 viewers, following five episodes that averaged close to 1 million viewers.

For anyone out there who likes the Lydia character on “Teen Wolf,” the good news is that moving forward, she’s going to be more and more of a powerful force. What’s the downside? It revolves more around what she is going to have to do to get to that point.

As Holland Roden tells TV Guide in a new interview teasing her upcoming arc, Lydia improving her powers within the walls of Eichen House is not something that is to be taken lightly. It’s going to cause the character a whole lot of pain just to see if she can make it to the other side:

“Amplified [powers] in Lydia’s case means she has to go through a lot of pain. She doesn’t get to have fun with her powers … “The more she gets grounded the more they have to contain her in some small, cold, often not very clean room. She’s constantly sweating and crying and trying to figure out why she’s locked in this room, [but] she’s very much the central piece of the puzzle [in the second half of the season].”

We certainly know that in this second half, the characters are going to be up against some of their biggest threats to date. Not only will Scott McCall still be trying to fend off Theo following everything that he did in the first half, but you also cannot forget about the Beast, a dangerous new villain who has the capacity to cause a great deal of harm to anyone who gets in its way.

Great news! Holland is in the newest video from Lighthouse and The Whaler – I Want To Feel Alive. She looks absolutely gorgeous!

“Suicide Squad” is one of today’s most awaited DC films. Although the blockbuster is due for a release date in 2016, rumors about its sequel have already surfaced on the Internet.

According to the rumor mill, the “Suicide Squad” sequel just might feature Poison Ivy. After all, she has only had one theatrical appearance so far, despite being a major villain in Batman’s universe. in “Batman and Robin,” Poison Ivy was portrayed by Uma Thurman. Since DC is planning to go all out in their movies, it is highly likely that they will give way for all DC superheroes and villains in the films to come.

Holland Roden, who is part of the “Teen Wolf” season 5 cast as Lydia, is reportedly a good choice for Poison Ivy. In the highly watched MTV show, the character that she portrays is a chemistry genius who is also a Banshee. She also possesses supernatural powers that draw her towards murder scenes. That said, her exposure on “Teen Wolf” season 5 just might be the experience needed that can help her land a spot in the Gotham City Sirens, according to MTV.

Apart from Roden, Karen Gillan might also be cast as Poison Ivy. She played a badass meanie, Nebula, in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” as well as a sexy redhead in “Doctor Who,” Amy Pond.

Poison Ivy is a very popular villain character to those who have remained loyal to the DC comic books. One thing that makes her a very interesting character is that she has a less than platonic relationship with Harley Quinn – a character that Margot Robbie plays in “Suicide Squad.”

When “Harley Quinn” comic book writers Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiotti revealed that Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are “girlfriends” during a question and answer session on Twitter, fans of the “Suicide Squad” sequel were sent into a frenzy.

‘Teen Wolf’ Renewed for Season 6

“Teen Wolf” will be coming back for season six. The renewal was announced at Comic-Con Thursday in San Diego.

“I knew the show was great. I never had expectations,” star Tyler Posey said on the panel, reflecting on shooting the pilot. And that’s when series creator Jeff Davis told the cheering crowd that Posey and the rest of the cast would be returning for another season on MTV.

Last year, the season five renewal was also revealed on the show’s Comic-Con panel. This year marks the sixth consecutive one that “Teen Wolf” headed to Con. Thursday evening, Posey and Davis were joined by cast members Cody Christian, Holland Roden, Dylan O’Brien and Shelley Hennig on the panel.

“Teen Wolf” has lost some ratings steam as it kicks off its fifth season but remains one of cable’s top scripted series in adults 18-34. Its first two Monday airings this summer averaged a 0.8 rating in 18-34, a 0.6 in adults 18-49 and about 1.45 million viewers overall in Nielsen’s same-night estimates.

Did MTV just reveal the Season 5 premiere date of “Teen Wolf”? It sure looked that way after the official Twitter account for the show cryptically tweeted out a date on Friday.

“6.29.15,” the tantalizing tweet stated, revealing that fans should expect Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and the rest of the supernatural gang to return this summer. But for unknown reasons, thetweet was deleted from the account, leaving fans scratching their heads about when the Jeff Davis-created drama would premiere.

If one was to use the previous “Teen Wolf” premiere dates as a guideline, then it could be surmised that Season 5 would premiere in June. Seasons 1 through 5 all premiered in June with the exception of Season 3, Part 2, which began in January. So, is it safe to assume Season 5 will follow suit with a summer return date?

“Teen Wolf” was renewed for a fifth season in July 2014. Following the announcement of the renewal,Davis reported at Comic-Con that the new season would return for an “expanded two-part 20-episode run.”

But that’s not all we know about the coming season. During PaleyFest, the show’s executive producer dished some juicy details about Season 5. Ready to sink your teeth into these tasty “Teen Wolf” tidbits?

Davis kicked off on a solemn note, revealing that fans would be seeing way less of the beloved Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin). According to Davis, the actor will no longer be a series regular on the show. But don’t fret! This just means a new character will be promoted. The Hollywood Reporter revealed Dylan Sprayberry, who portrays Liam, has been upped to series regular for the new season.

The show’s EP then toyed with our hearts a little, teasing the returning of Daniel Sharman’s character, Isaac Lahey. Since the actor was killed off of the CW series “The Originals,” it makes perfect sense for Daniel to return to his lupine roots. “We’ll see,” Davis said about the return of our favorite past “Teen Wolf” characters.
